Overview
In this hands-on lab course, learn how to perform the day-to-day
administrative tasks for IBM WebSphere Portal Version 5.0 (V5). Develop the
necessary skills for an administrator, architect, or developer to administer
WebSphere Portal. Portal administrators learn how to perform portlet
deployment, user and group profiling, portal page and document management, and
many other administrative tasks.
Examine processes and practices related to the administration of
WebSphere Portal Enable Version 5. Focus on the administrative Graphical User
Interface (GUI) and tools to manage portlets and access control, portlet
customization, search engines, and security features.
This course does not cover programming of portlets nor does it
cover the administrative task of installation of the base IBM Portal Server
product. Those skills can be obtained by attending the appropriate WebSphere
Portal developer or administrative courses.
Audience
IBM customers, independent software vendors, system
integrators, and IBM technical staff members, including administrators,
architects, and developers who implement portal solutions built on the IBM
WebSphere Portal platform.
